COSI Comes to Newbury

Thank you PTO for again sponsoring COSI for the Newbury Elementary students. Astronomy was the theme for this year's presentation. After a whole school morning assembly, students visited many exhibits by grade level and learned more from the PTO volunteers. Stations included looking through different filtered glasses to figure out colors, refraction of light, constellations, mission control and driving ROVs on Mars, orbits of the different planets, how it feels to pick up one pound of weight on different planets, and how much you would weigh on another planet. Ask your students what they learned today.
