Kids With Character Club
Second Quarter Winners
March 4, 2010
Congratulations to the following students who are the Second Quarter winners of the “Kids with Character” drawing at Newbury Elementary School! They were nominated in November, December and January for demonstrating acts of character through their deeds and actions. As their reward, they will become part of the “Kids with Character Club” and be treated to a special luncheon at Mangia! Mangia!, thanks to the support of Mr. Jeff Corrigan, Mangia! Mangia’s owner.
In November, Nathan Mohar, Alex Cichon, A.J. Slade, and Thomas McKale were our good citizens as they exemplified the Pillar of Citizenship by helping others in our school community. December’s Pillar of Caring was reflected in Aiden Slapnicker, Chloe Aster, Robert Couch, and Autumn Grossman’s actions, and January’s Pillar of Fairness came through in Megan Kinkopf, Hannah Gilbert, Hope Lewandoski, and James Bell’s just and fair words and deeds. Congratulations to the twelve of you! Thank you for being Pillars of Character for the students at Newbury. Your character truly counts and we thank you for being role models for all of the other Newbury Black Knights. Hopefully you enjoyed your Mangia! Mangia! meal. Be on the lookout for Newbury Black Knights at Newbury Elementary School who show that character counts this quarter. February and March are dedicated to the Pillars of Respect and Responsibility so work on getting nominated through good words, deeds, and actions and maybe you can have lunch at Mangia! Mangia! next quarter!
