Semiannual Required Report of Bullying

by Richard Wagner

Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.666 (B)(10) requires the school district to post notice semiannually of documented instances of harassment, intimidation, or bullying.  These are defined as any intentional written, verbal, or physical act that a student has exhibited toward another particular student more than once and the behavior both (1) causes mental or physical harm to the other student and (2) is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for the other student.

These instances have to be reported to the school administration and found to be violations of conduct code.

Based on the above description, there have been no instances of this type of harassment, intimidation, or bullying in either the elementary school or junior-senior high school in the 2008-09 school year.
