10-61        TUTOR HIRING

Moved by Mr. Douglas, second by Mr. Munn, to approve the following:

 

Approve the hiring of Mrs. Kristin VanderMaas for the position of General Biology and World and American Studies IV home instruction tutor not to exceed one hr./wk. each at a rate of $23.28/hr. as approved for posting in the 2/8/10 Board Meeting.   (Enclosure)

10-62        GCESC PAYMENTS/KENSTON PAYMENT

Moved by Mr. Munn, second by Mr. Gingerich, to approve the following:

 

Approve payment (3 of 4) to the Geauga County Educational Service Center of $35,868.48 for STARS program services to three Newbury students in the third quarter 2009-2010 school year.  (Enclosures)

 

Approve payment (7 of 9) to the Geauga County Educational Service Center for March, 2010, MD Unit classroom costs for a Newbury student in the amount of $3,266.80.  (Enclosures)

 

Approve payment (7 of 9) to the Geauga County Educational Service Center for March, 2010, ED Unit classroom costs for ten Newbury students in the amount of $12,116.60.  (Enclosures)

Approve payment to the Kenston Local School District for the excess ED Unit 2008-09 classroom costs for a Newbury student in the amount of $9,491.04.   (Enclosures)

10-63        PROPERTY VALUES/MILLAGE/STRATEGIC PLAN SURVEYS

Moved by Mr. Douglas, second by Mr. Munn, to approve the following:

 

Approve the following items for discussion:

            Property Values and Millage Rates

            Strategic Plan Surveys – 150 responses, ends March 25, 70% parents,

            30% community, 80% women, 20% men.  Responses would like curriculum

            offerings, improve building & grounds, not necessarily new buildings.

            Meeting March 30 to discuss.

10-64        EXECUTIVE SESSION

Moved by Mr. Munn, second by Mr. Gingerich, to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, discipline, or compensation of an employee and to discuss matters required to be kept confidential by Federal Law or rules or State Statutes and for reviewing negotiations with employees.
