The Vice President called the Newbury Board of Education Public Input & Dialogue meeting to order with the following members present:  Mr. Ayer, Mr. Blair, Mr. Douglas, Mr. Munn.  Mr. Gingerich was absent.

 

11-288 PUBLIC INPUT/ADJOURN   

            Moved by Mr. Douglas, second by Mr. Blair, to approve the following:

 

            This public input and dialogue Board meeting shall be controlled by the presiding officer. 

            Any input cannot and shall not receive any Board action.  However, before the Board will

            hear a complaint or criticism about school personnel, the complaint must be submitted to

            the Treasurer, in writing, at least seven (7) days in advance of the meeting.  The

            employee will receive a copy of the complaint, and the process prescribed in Board

            Policy #9130, Public Complaints and Grievances, will be followed.

C.     Recognition – Larry Ayer.  Discussion what is good for kids.  District rated excellent.  A result of hard working dedicated staff.  Newbury graduates are successful in future endeavors.  Safety – fire alarms, doors, cameras.  Congratulations to Marty Sanders.

            and appoint John Gingerich to serve as President Pro Tempore at the organizational

            meeting until the Board elects a President.  The organizational meeting will be followed

            by the January, 2012, regular meeting at 6:30 PM.

            center based and itinerant Preschool services in September, October, and November,

            Moved by Mr. Blair, second by Mr. Douglas, to approve the following:

 

            Amend item #15 from the June 6, 2011, Board Meeting to prorate the assistant

            wrestling coach contract of Mr. Martin Sanders to $1,571.26 [59/114 (59 days of

            114 day season) x $3036] due to election to the Board of Education effective

            January 9, 2012, accept his resignation from the paid coaching position effective

            January 8, 2012, and approve him as a volunteer wrestling coach effective

            January 9, 2012, for the remainder of the 2011-2012 wrestling season.

 

            Approve Mr. John P. Bond as a volunteer wrestling coach pending receipt of Pupil

            open Cleaning position posted on December 8, 2011, and grant him a contract

            for the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year at $11.16/hr., 5 hrs/day/5 days/wk.
