This public input and dialogue Board meeting shall be controlled by the presiding officer. Any input cannot and shall not receive any Board action. However, before the Board will hear a complaint or criticism about school personnel, the complaint must be submitted to the Treasurer, in writing, at least seven (7) days in advance of the meeting. The employee will receive a copy of the complaint, and the process prescribed in Board Policy #9130, Public Complaints and Grievances, will be followed.

5. Schedule Monday, January 9, 2012, at 6:00 PM for the Annual Budget

Hearing for Fiscal Year 2012 in the Newbury High School Band Room.

6. Schedule the Annual Reorganization Meeting for 6:15 PM on Monday

January 9, 2011, and appoint John Gingerich to serve as President

Pro Tempore at the organizational meeting until the Board elects a

President. The organizational meeting will be followed by the January,

2012, regular meeting at 6:30 PM.

7. Approve payment of Annual Membership Dues, including OSBA

Briefcase and School Management News electronic subscriptions,

for 2012 to the Ohio School Boards Association in the amount

Boards Association Legal Assistance Fund at a cost of $250. (enclosure)

Mill renewal levy was approved by the voters on November 8, 2011.

Center for attendance of a Newbury student in the Metzenbaum

full day Preschool classroom in September, October and November,

2011, in the amounts of $2,500.57, $3,125.71, and $3,125.71. (enclosures)

11 Accept notice of payment to the Geauga County Educational Service

Center for centerbased and itinerant Preschool services in September,

October, and November, 2011, in the total amount of $10,954.79.

12 Accept notice of payment to the Geauga County Educational Service

Center for Vision Specialist services in October and November 2011,

13 Accept notice of payment to the Geauga County Educational Service

Center for Transition Coordinator Services for December, 2011, in

14 Accept notice of payment to the Geauga County Educational Service

Center for placement of a Newbury student in the Geauga County

Group Home in the second quarter of the 2011-2012 school year in the

15 Accept notice of payment to the Geauga County Educational Service

Center for Parent Mentor Services to 3 Newbury families in the first

three months of the 2011-2012 school year in the amount of $221.37.

16 Approve payment to the Mayfield City School District for a Newbury

student enrolled in the Millridge Center Hearing Impaired program in

the 2011-2012 school year at a cost of $40,830.07. (enclosure)

17 Amend item #15 from the June 6, 2011, Board Meeting to prorate

the assistant wrestling coach contract of Mr. Martin Sanders to

$1,571.26 [59/114 (59 days of 114 day season) x $3036] due to

election to the Board of Education effective January 9, 2012,

accept his resignation from the paid coaching position effective

January 8, 2012, and approve him as a volunteer wrestling coach

effective January 9, 2012, for the remainder of the 2011-2012

wrestling season.

18 Approve Mr. John P. Bond as a volunteer wrestling coach pending

receipt of Pupil Supervisory Certificate. (enclosure)

19 Approve the following posting retroactive to November 23, 2011.
