This is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the school district’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated in the following agenda.

III. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - This portion of the Board Meeting is open to those individuals who have requested in writing a place on the agenda at least seven (7) days in advance of this meeting. Presentations shall be limited to five (5) minutes. A group appearing before the Board should select a person to speak for the entire group.

XI. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Persons who wish to appear before the Board and have not requested placement on the agenda seven (7) days in advance may speak to the Board concerning items for action prior to the New Business portion of the meeting. This public participation segment of the Board meeting shall be controlled by the presiding officer. Any discussion at this portion of the Board meeting cannot and shall not receive any Board action. However, before the Board will hear a complaint or criticism about school personnel, the complaint must be submitted to the Treasurer, in writing, at least seven (7) days in advance of the meeting. The employee will receive a copy of the complaint, and the process prescribed in Board Policy #9130, Public Complaints and Grievances, will be followed.

Community to provide transition services for a Newbury student going

from school-age program to adult program for a total of 12 days from

November 18, 2009, through January 15, 2010, in an amount (inclusive

6. Approve payment to the Mayfield City School District for the

attendance of a Newbury student in the Millridge Center

Hearing Impaired Preschool program, 2009-10, in the amount of $23,019.30. (Enclosures)

attendance of a Newbury student in the Millridge Center

Hearing Impaired program, 2009-10, in the amount of

for 7 Newbury students in five Special Education Cooperative ED units for October and November, 2009, in the amount of $11,413.70 (Oct) and

Transition Services Coordinator services in Aug., Sept., and Oct. of

17 Approve the elimination of the .25 hr. PM Berkshire HS Supplemental

Contract held by Mrs. Patricia Meagher due to the relocation of the

18 Accept a donation from the Newbury Booster Club of a 5 cu. ft. freezer

valued at $168.00. (Enclosures)

19 Accept a donation of $50 from Richard A. Wagner, Superintendent.
